Some people need to be told they are worthy, that they are loved,

not because nobody ever told them before, but because someone

told them they weren’t. -Unknown-

On Thursday, we will be celebrating the one day that has been set aside for us to give thanks, while we honor traditions of family gatherings around a full table, contemplating what we are thankful for. It is a day, for me, that represents those who have and those who have not, especially when it comes to food insecurities.

However, there is another hunger that isn’t resolved by the mere act of putting food into our mouths, to be masticated and digested, in a process to support our physical bodies. It is the hunger of heart and soul; the void that somehow is never satiated by way of dismissals, harsh judgements, criticisms, unkindness and disregard. It is where we find ourselves when we have forgotten who we truly are.

But who are we truly? We are divine beings, each and everyone, with a heart that is full, with love and kindness and a soul that is rich with wisdom, always pulling us to higher ground. Whether we go along or not is our choice to make. We come in different apparel, different colors, different sizes and attitudes, unique facades that are more than happy to present a life lesson or two to those of us that stand with our hands outstretched, willing to receive. Lessons learned, that will feed our hearts, our souls, bring us forward, lift us up, letting us know, way beyond the slight of any other, that we are acknowledged and celebrated, good in intention, valued and worthy, deserving of that seat at the table. We are full.

And so on this day of coming together, within and without, where it is always my hope that we can find one simple thing to feel blessed and be thankful for, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude.

To all of my angels, earthly and otherwise, who continue to walk beside me, protect me, lead and guide me and intervene when it benefits me the most.

To those rare individuals that have shown me, in their actions and service to others, what I wish to attain in my spiritual sense and being and in everyday life.

To my fellow Warriors, who stand with me every day, by the morals and values of our divine code, and hold the light for those who aren’t able.

To my soul family, for our deep unbreakable eternal connection that holds me close in comfort and reminds me that I am never alone.

To all of those that taught me love, respect and consideration and the one that removed all conditions.

For this challenging yet beautiful life that continues to branch out and blossom with strength, perseverance, resilience and great hope.

For those of you who ask for my assistance, for prayers, for comfort and to hold your confessions, the ultimate trust. I am honored.

For all who have welcomed me to their table, their family and their lives, enriching mine in a myriad of ways so profound.

And for all creatures large and small, divine creation beyond the borders of our galaxy, for inviting me into another realm where curiosity abounds and everything is possible.
